Sodal is built so that the people you invite are the only ones who can ever read your circle. The encryption keys are generated on your phone and never leave it — there's no master key, and no back door, because there's nowhere for one to live.
Keys on device
Your master seed is created and stored on your phone, protected by the Secure Enclave. We never see it — so we can never hand it over.
End-to-end everywhere
Messages, calls, locations, feed posts and vault files are all sealed with per-circle sender keys and a forward-secret ratchet.

The server routes encrypted envelopes without knowing who they're from. Even traffic patterns reveal as little as possible.
